Beating the Rain

These tomato starts are in the little greenhouse Franklin built me several years ago. They are highly resistant test varieties from the local Ag. research center so we have to keep tabs on them and report back as to how they did. I usually grow heirlooms but after going to a talk on tomato diseases this year, I decided to give these a try.
Phillip Johnson, one of The Lord's Acre's interns, helps us plant potatoes Saturday.
Paul Horton, another intern, coaches Gabriel as to how to cover up the potatoes with the work end of a hoe.
Phillip and friend, Rebbeca (Gabe's mom) continue filling in the rows.
