I Love Spring - but HATE "Spring Forward"

Being a morning person, I was so excited that there was LIGHT at 6:20 lately until the dreaded Daylight "Savings" Time snuck up on me. Ben Franklin was a wild and interesting character who I have always admired but Daylight "Savings" Time is credited to him. He was also known for 'bathing' as in 'sun bathing' - naked in the moonight because he thought it had health-giving properties. Not to say it doesn't but that explains that he was a night-person and for all us morning-persons, well, you know where you can put DST !!! But, on a happier note, the flowers have no such worries, they come up as God intended. Here, crocuses spill out of a flowerpot and below that, the dwarf daffodills flood the edges of the ornamental garden spaces. It seems impossible but we know we'll be having more cold weather and could even have another snow, but for this week, spring is here, open-toed shoes abound, shorts and white legs are the fashion of the day, and the soil smells wonderful.
