Thanksgiving 2010

Franklin's sister, Nan, makes the family recipe for oyster
dressing starting with the toasting of the toast.

Franklin getting under the turkey's skin with farm bacon.

Another fish-eye look at the spread which must always
include lots of non-alcoholic fizzy drinks.

Ace grins and bears it at the men's football game.

Thanksgiving @ The Sides 2010

Sara's fisheye lens lets you see the whole room.

Franklin readies the wild turkey Walker shot. We had wild
turkey and venison - quite the authentic meal.

Fire & Ice

Jarrahdale and Kabocha winter squash drying on racks.
After the curing process, they'll be ready to give to the
foodbanks for use as a baked vegetable or in pies and pastries.
The flesh of both varieties are dark and sweet.

We also grew Baby Pam, a small, baking pumpkin. Most
jack-o-lantern pumpkins are NOT for eating. This is a pie
pumpkin and it too, has sweet, dark flesh.

A view from under the drying rack.
